Of course. Haven’t you ever seen Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? But since September 11th, they’ve closed it to the public.

Johannesburg Stock Exchange, South Africa. The JSE is presently the 16th largest stock exchange worldwide and by far the biggest in sub-saharan Africa.
Here’s a good link in Wikipedia about stock exchanges worldwide, even if you don’t want to just read about it…
Huh. Says NYSE and Euronext are going to merge. That’ll be interesting. It will be the first global stock exchange, according to Wiki.

No, unfortunately not. There’s a lot of money to be made there and I know a few people that have done that succesfully. I wanted to a few years back, but found it simply too boring to learn the ins and outs of the stock exchange. Now, I’m just a poor 3d graphics artist…
Here in Germany (which is also a federative country with 16 states) we’ve got 6 (7 disregarding the fact that Berlin and Bremen merged) stock exchanges, with being Frankfurt the biggest, and in addition one mercantile exchange (in Hannover) which I know about.
Funny question. Why are you asking?
not yet, maybe in the future

I work like 2 minutes walk from the London Stock Exchange, so yes… this little island we call Britain is fully represented
Yep, I’ve purchased a few shares of Circuit City, which are on the NYSE. Other stocks I’m invested in I’m not sure of.

Canada, I believe, has 7 different stock exchanges.
As for my home country, my beloved Lebanon, I’ve only heard of the Beirut stock exchange (BSE).
My country does have a stock exchange, but it’s no Nikkei. Our economy is not one of volume. Plus, some rules regarding stock re-emission are simply ludicrous.
