Torches keep changing!

Hello! I’m having a problem with my short animation, and it is extremely annoying. Basically, I have a room with several torches on the wall. I modeled the torch on another layer, just for convenience. I moved the first torch to the first layer (with my room), scaled it, positioned it, and rotated it correctly. However, whenever I go to bake, render, play the animation, or anything of the sorts, they all go back to their original location/rotation/scale. I understand this is rather lengthy, and so I’ll include a .blend (where all the torches should be in the correct locations). Any help is much appreciated! Thank you!

You have keyframes for loc/rot and scale set on the torches i think. Enter the Dope sheet and delete any keyframes for the torches, they should then stay in the same loc/rot/scale when you change frames

Here, You should be able to move them about, rotate and scale freely now  You had a keyframe on frame 1 for each “Cylinder” and “Torus” in your scene.

Thank you. I just realized that, and feel rather stupid now. Cheers

No problem

easy mistake to make, i’ve done it myself plenty of times

At this point you could try switching on “only insert available” from the user preferences editing section. That way only things with existing key-frames will update when using automatic key-framing. It’s pretty easy to forget edits in a previous session. I’ve done it myself too.
