like the stripes, looks like a cool sub-universe ( sorry but not like rain ).

The gate on the top picture is too red, compared with the almost black background.

The rain looks a bit weird, it’s made out of rectangles rather than raindrops.

The bottom pic looks great, no criticisms!

Hmm yea maybe it needs more motion blur. By the way the top one
is just a particle system while the bottom is two particle systems with
mblur.

I concur with this assessment, and join to congratulate you on the 2 bottom pictures. They are great. Did you use a script for the cubes?
