that… I just… it… wth wow! very sweet  I feel like investing some bucks when I get home.
Looks absolutely fantastic!
If Farsthary ever comes to England, I’d be more than happy to put him up and buy him beers for the entire duration of his stay.
hey don’t you dare shooting our hero’s liver :ba:
edit: I’d get him some absolut or absynth though.
he is having a hard time finding a job?
That’s strange, I believe BF would welcome him with arms wide open. That guy is simply brilliant.
@FreeMind: is Lapinou a programmer? I thought he just maintained Raul’s blog. Or maybe you missed a line? … or I misinterpreted it…
edit: also, I believe Raul is still in Cuba because he can’t leave
aaah, I misunderstood
one way would be to buy a boat or better a small submarine and give a chance to move to miami!
but when is he coming up with a new built for vista or other OS ?
or may be this can integrated in 2.5
cause it’s a great way to save vertices count while sculpting!
happy 2.5 with UL clay
I’m a long time Sculptris user and continue to use it for anything i want to do requiring sculpting.
And i must say that i am really amazed by how impressive Farsthary work is.
It’s been immensely improved since the very old graphicall build we could try, not only in how the faces are generated as demonstrated by the “old solution” vs “new solution” , but in term of ease to use it now looks really as intuitive as Sculptris is, giving the sculptor freedom without the interface being in the middle of the artwork.
Farsthary is a genius. As soon as it becomes an official Blender feature, it’s certainly goodbye Sculptris for me.
I have to agree!! This is evolving great!!! The first time Farsthary did his prove of concept I thought, ok… nice try!
But what we see here now is absolutely amazing!!! I am eager to test this! Thanks to jwilkings gsoc we have also the great brushimrpovements!!!
Awsome!
One word: amazing!
Hi guys!
Thanks to everyone! I´m very glad you like my recent improvements!
I need to solve still many issues before being aviable for the masses, so please be a little patient, more than ever this is becoming a very promising tool
cheers to all
Farsthary
Donate everybody! This is so sweet.
Who would still need to use Sculptris with Blender when this equally good and similar style of freeform sculpting gets commited into trunk, it will be nice to just go into sculpt-mode and just start creating complex forms, all that would be needed then would be that remeshing feature that was being worked on as part of GSoC.
No offense to the person who developed Sculptris, but Pixologic will likely put a pricetag on it or merge it into Zbrush if they haven’t done so or already planning that, Blender having this will mean not having to deal with exporters and license fees.
This looks like competition, that’s for sure.
Blender is such an awesome package, man, that’s very impressive.
@ Fatsthary
any idea when you think it will ready to come out to the masses?
but would definitively like to see this with 2.6
happy 2.5
Totally amazed :o
man, that’s gonna be a joy to handle!
Keep up the great work man. Wish I could offer you some financial support, but I’m pretty poor at the moment.
Maybe in the future.
You make it sound like sculptris been around for 30 years or something. About Farsthary not leaving Cuba. I know a lot of Cubans that go in and out of Cuba unhindered. 2 Cuban doctors here (and they are married) came here on the request of the local government. They regularly on vacation back to Cuba and their family comes regularly here on vacation. I think if you watch to much CNN you’ll think people are fleeing Cuba to escape the political climate, but I see it as being the same as people fleeing from Haiti on boats or Mexicans crossing the border. It’s the economy stupid. One programmer at Bearing point Curacao is Cuban and she has no difficulties going there every year or so on vacation. Maybe Farsthary should apply for a well paid job there because their programmers sucks! I guess he could do 3 man’s work in half the time and still have time to do Blender work.
