Heiya everyone!
Once again, I’ve tried to achieve something that would look like an oil-painted canvas, with undefinied lines and vibrant colors that would remind me the style of an illustrated storybook.
It took me about 1 week to build up the main scene, then another week or so to refine all the small details and people across the town. It was rendered with Cycles at 5000*9000 pixel, due to the huge size of the canvas used for the final printing: 200cm x 120cm.
It took something like 5 huors, but I’m very happy about the final result!
I like it. It’s not the sort of render I personally aim for, probably because I’m not good at freestyle. It’s nice to see something I can’t do executed well.
Great detail and the sense of style is fantastic! The use of the red colored buildings draws the eye across the image, so great composition. I could give some critiques, but it would probably just be things to fit my own taste, and I hate critiquing finished work (and something as finished as a canvas print is definitely finished). Cheers mate, fantastic job!
Thanks so much for appreciating it and for pointing out the red-color-scheme thing! (So this is really working! :°)
About critiques, feel free to tell me anything you think about that: Oftend the first print is just “not perfect” as I want it to be so, later on, I’m going to have a 2nd/3rd print to correct smaller details
