Toy display

Well, this is both my first post in these boards and my first project with Blender.
I was unsure of what to do, and I got the idea of remaking my Animal Crossing character. Somehow, that turned into a trophy of “The Punk of the Year”. After that, it turned into a Punk Bobblehead. Now, I decided to keep it that way, and continue to fill a whole table with these toys.
The table isn’t properly modeled either (it’s just a long, brown box), but I’ll be working on everything during the next few weeks.
Can anyone give me ideas on other toys?

Good start Smoky Joe and welcome to Blender & elYsiun.

Firstly, turn on the Anti Aliasing function, this means hitting the OSA button in Blender’s render buttons, then set the value below to 8, 12, or 16. This will help remove the ‘jaggies’ you have in your image.

Secondly, it looks as though you need to turn on the Shadow button also found in the Render buttons.

As for toy ideas, how about one of those mad spikey balls that jump all over the place? When you’ve made enough, you could try Envmapping one in the middle to reflect all the others.

DmBadcat has started a tutorial thread here. which explains envmaps a bit.

Happy blending,

Sonix.

Hmm…I like that idea. But, is there any particular way I can make the textures look more “rubbery”?

Oh, and thanks for the advice. I made a few changes to the bobblehead (like making a hole in the bottom), and I’ll be sure to render with anti-aliasing next time.

Well, I’ve been working on the table, and added a few toys. I also discovered the beauty known as the subsurf button. Any comments on these new toys, or ideas for more toys?
