Track modeling help

Hi all! I’ve a problem on modeling a track for a game…It’s first and i don’t know how to approach the modeling: I have to build the field with the track like a one monolithic mesh or there is a way to subdivide it in modular piece?? this is the track that i’ve to build:

another problem is the dimension of the track, i don’t anything about length or size…
thanks in advance for the help!

You can try using a curve and a plane for the track,a bit of editing and bump map texturing can also help allot to make it look more realistic.

Salinas, Cork Screw? One track segment can be arrayed and set to follow a curve, basically a plane. That wouldn’t give a different width of track… or would, if you scale curve points? Have to check that.

Edit: Alt-S and Ctrl-T works fine.

So i’ll make it as one big mesh object? The target is not BGE! How i can integrate it with the field around?

If you need that. If you already have textured track mesh, to fill the gaps shouldn’t be a big problem.

I’d fold the sides and leave track as a separate mesh a bit above ground plane. Bumpmap, texture and some particle debri for closeups hopefully mask the parts.

However, depends on what you have available and what you want.

Edit: Size - if you measure track dimensions in trailer lengths you can’t be off by miles…Plus there is www Sevice, showing satellite images; it has scale, so if you know what place you’re after you can compare result.
