Track To Added Objects?

Is it possible to set an object to track another object that has just been added?[Edit Object-Add Object]
And is it possible without scripts?
I ask because I run into a problem when the first object keeps tracking the other object in the hidden layer…
(I wanted to command a unit to head over to where you click)
