This is a train yard and depot to go with my train and car. Any and all comments will be welcomed so if you think it sucks let me know. If you see something you think is out of place let me know. I want feedback about everything. If you see something but don’t think its important let me know. Basically what I am saying is let me know what you think.
It certainly does not suck, keep going. Maybe kick the light up a little bit so we can see more easily those nice features.
Are you planning on putting it in a scene?
i love the engine, keep up teh amazing work
Here are the links to the threads for the engine and the car if you are interested.

This is very nice!
It would be awesome if you made the rails slightly uneven, and the ties hidden under a lot of ballast. =)
Awesome work. I love rail yards. I used to live next to one when I was little. We would visit it all the time. Too bad we couldn’t go inside it, although It’s probably for the best. I’m glad to have all four of my limbs still attached. =D
Dan
Tell me which one that you think is better. Another thing can anyone tell me how to get rid of those white orbs. The next thing to go would be the roof of the building. I still can’t decide if I should make it a depot or a repair shop.

Very convincing modeling going on here!
…the only thing I can think of when it comes to the white orb problem is that they’re particles of some kind…
My suggestion is to add a sun lamp with ray shadow set to 5 for quality to get some soft shadows going on. Also, try to raise the fall-off strength of the ambient occlusion to something like 0.5 to 1.0. That will make the images less grainy and will give a better idea on how it actually looks.
Besides that, this is going great! =D
@JDaniels:I took your ad vice about the lighting and this is the result.
I added window panes to the lower windows in the building. I am going to be working on the upper windows for the building next. I will also be adding large wooden doors to the openings in the building. Eventually I will be adding details to the interior of the building.

Nice modelling. I would suggest that your curves are way too sharp for realistic tracks, though. Everything railway related tends to cover huge swathes of ground, with curves having radii of hundreds of metres, even in rail yards. The sharp curves make it look a bit like a model train, rather than a real one.
Also, it is unlikely that anyone would build an arched roof where the ends of the arch were directly above a window, - it would need a heavy buttress/pillar at that point.
Matt
I agree with Travellingmatt about the track. The curves are way too sharp. I don’t agree with him about the roof as I have been to King’s Cross and to Paddington where there are arched roofs over windows (http://www.hesperian.co.uk/images/wallpaper/paddington_wallpaper.jpg and the top photo at http://www.trainweb.org/crocon/goodenow/photos27.html for example).
One thing you must do is make sure the sleepers are sitting in the ballast not on top of it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/oiyou/142618159/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/oiyou/197669473/ can be used as reference pics to get the ballast right. Also the sleepers may be a tad too close together or to wide (front to back rather than side to side). The gap between sleepers seems to be about twice the width of the sleepers themselves or so.
It’s looking good otherwise though.

I made the curves more realistic and i lowered the track. I have to say that I am happy with the results. Thanks for the great advice.

I finished the frames on the upper windows and added color to one of the engines. I still have to work on the doors. Plus I am also over 1.1 million faces.

I love trains, this is coming along very nicely.
I decided to spontaneously add a roundhouse. Doing this will delay my making of other components that I wanted to. Thanks to everyone for comments.
Also this picture is a little rough so keep that in mind. I will be adding a better picture tomorrow.
