I’m looking at old work again and can’t figure out how I did something. I have a camara trained on an empty so that when I move the camara around it will always be amined at the empty. I can’t figure out how they are connected. How did I do this?
Ctrl-T (track) most likely. You may need to clear rotation (Alt -R) to get it pointing correctly.
edit:
oh and first select camera then empty also (or other way round) if you get it wrong Alt -T will untrack.
Hope that helps
Hi alicopey. Thanks for the reply. Do you know where in the blender screens I can see this relation has been set?
In the OOPs window… Shft-F9

Thanks again. So there isn’t a button for this?
Isn’t a button for what?

Yes, there’s a button for this. Look in the Constraint Buttons window. Select the Camera, add a new constraint (by default it is a TrackTo constraint). Type in the name of the target you want to track.

Very cool. Thanks.
Why wouldn’t there be a constraint listed there now for the camara that is trained on the empty?
Because it uses a silly old tracking method. That will be fixed soon.

Thank you.
