Happy Vesak guys!
I made this animation in celebration of Vesak: a festival celebrated by buddhist worldwide. Vesak is the celebration of 3 important occasions of lord Buddha’s life: birth, enlightenment and death (parinibbana). The pretty lotus thingies floating on water are called vesak lanterns which are generally made from stretching paper over a bamboo sliver frame. They come in many shapes and sizes but I chose lotus here. And the floating lanterns aren’t really a thing in Sri Lanka but I thought it would add a nice touch
