I was wondering if there’s a way to transfer data, such as UV maps, between the same object that has different subdivision levels?
From my testing, the Copy UVs only works when the two objects has the same resolution, even though the point order should be the same.
I know this is achievable in Maya, but not sure about Blender.
The reason is that I want to try a similar approach as many VFX studios does, with multiple LODs depending on what your working on. For example UVs and major changes is easiest to do on a mesh with low topology, rigging/animation may want a medium res base mesh and sculpting from a higher res base mesh.
Hope I’m making sense, and that there are ways to transfer data between objects in a flexible way in Blender
