Transfering maps

I have a model I’m helping rebuild. I’ve had to redo it’s topology and even adjust shape of many parts. I’m wondering if there is some way to transfer it’s texture and normal maps over to the new model properly as it seems currently it’s all messed up. Some sections don’t seem to have any texture at all, usually spots where I had to add Geometry when ripping areas to redirect flow.

I have not tried this as I haven’t had to re-topo anything that was already textured…
But I have an Idea that you could try…Using the original character and material … see if you can re-bake your maps by baking from the original UV to a New UV on your Retopo…

I don’t think this particular tutorial is what I’d need, but I’ll sift through all ones he has to see if one fits.
