Translucent Shader in blender is not adequate - please help!

hello guys! im modeling a wristwatch currently and in the wristwatch there is a glass part that separate the display to protect it (kinda like your screen shield at phones).

as shown here. i tried to mix glossiness with translucency and i need more translucency than i have now
this is maximum value


Why use translucency ? If it’s the glass covering the display then surely you want that to be transparent. If the glass is there to scatter light as in the translucency shader it would make it more difficult to see the time

thanks. can you be more specific however? when i use transparency i don’t have a glass effect on the object. it just full on transparent
