Transparent edges?

I don’t understand what is going on here… Which makes sense because I’m completely new to this.

Anyways I’m trying to make some very simple assets for my game. But I seem to have run into a snag on the whole texturing thing…

My models wont be getting much more details than squares for now… Maybe a round top door… But anyways, I have no clue what is going on here and I worry that this is what it will look like once I import these to unity.

You can apply textures in Unity, and set the filter mode to “Point”, that way the textures won’t be smoothed like that. To fix this in blender, go to “File -> User Preferences -> System” and make sure Mipmaps are unchecked here;
