I want the transparent plastic to appear as shiny white plastic that is transparent (I have attached a regular foto taken of the so called object)
However whenever i remove the white plane that acts as a background/ground then the plastic turns black… I’ve searched high and low without finding a solution so now I am making my own post.
Both a render with no bg and one with aswell as a regular photo has been attatched. via a link btw since new users cant attatch files?
Took me a while to find it, but most of the problem is from you having multiple cylinders that occupy the same space…that always leads to problems like this…That and you only had your Transmission and Transparency bounces set at the default… you need to bump up those to around 24 or so to get better transparency…some of the Black is from the World space when made transparent reflects as empty space.
But there are other solutions if you want to keep your Background … (eg: change the “Shader”, “RasmusPLASTIC” or in Compositing, use the “Cryptomatte”)
