I’m trying to do an unerwater scene, as I made and earlier post. Anways, the problem is I apply a simple colored texture as a color map onto the plane (which the scene is looking at from the bottom, but does that matter?) But no matter what I try, it won’t show up. And since it’s underwater, the light source is coming from above… so I don’t think turning down the alpha would help, but I’ll try it again.
You can’t have transparent shadows in Yafray. At least not yet. You have to take off “Tracable,” in the shaders tab, if you are suing ray-traced shadows, or take off “Shadbuf,” if you are using shadow buffers.
Okay, let me get this strait, the problem is that you want a color texture to show from the bottom, but it won’t. Is it even on? There’s a texture that’s unselected in your screen shot.
I apologize, I found the problem. Apparently YafraY does not support PNG images… >_> I was staring at the console the whole time and failed to realise that. XD Thanks for bearing with me.
