Hello,
Ive crated 2 planes in my scene both have images on both of them (this way I can use the reference images to create a model). Then I added a basic plane to the scene (and here is where Im having difficulty and need some advice on how proceed), I need to be able to see through this plane to move vertices and match them up with the images while working in the viewport (for lack of a better word) but am stumped on how to do this?
What I’ve tried (to no avail):
-
I added a material to the plane and checked the transparency checkbox and dropped the alpha down. This didn’t do anything unless I render the scene but I need it to be transparent while working.
-
I separated the objects onto different layers, the planes with the images on one layer then the plane i’ll be modeling on another layer. My hope was to set one layer to solid and another to wireframe while viewing both layers at the same time but this is not doable if I select solid one any layer they all turn solid.
Im out of ideas… Im new to using blender and really just need a bit of help on how to be able to work with a transparent plane in the viewport with the other planes (images) not being transparent.
Can anyone help?
Sincerely,
Michael
