good day sirsi just started another work-in-progress model.its trapjaw from He-man(man, im so old).it brings back memories modeling this character.basemesh and render is pure blender but for the test detailing is zbrush.theres still a lot to go. i hope to finish this character in 2 weeks time and an extra week for rigging.
happy blending.
Very nice modeling! I think you should add some textures to the top of his head so that it looks more realistic. Other then that it looks really good. Are you going to model the rest of the body?
very nice so far… can this guy eat? does he have a tongue? is the bottom of the jaw hollow? i be this was never show in he-man, so you get to make all sort of interesting decisions… so far i think the lighting and materials have a nice cartoony feel to them which is rather cool
well, thanks a lot!
I think that this lighting work in general has much to be with comic style, i really like to know the light setup, if you don’t mind
Cheers!
the lighting setup is pretty simple. one key Light spotlight and two (fill Light) hemis on opposites sides. its on the compositing side that i added rim light some color correction and glow.pretty cheesy i guess but i like the feel of the render.anyway, ill definitly add some changes as soon as im done with everything.i have some updates for the body.i find it pretty difficult doing bodies but im please with it.cheers.
Looking good! I think you might be able to make him looked a lot more ripped. His head has a ton of detailing and wrinkles, but his body is smooth as can be, kinda clashes to me. If you make them a little more similar it might help the look of everything. Good job with the body though!!
Just wanted to say you’ve done amazing! work so far.
Your moving at a fast rate to.
Your doing great on the topology side as well, how long have you been doing 3D work for?
Some places on the txtures look odd, but since it’s a first pass I’m sure you know where to improve.
Keep it up, look forward to more updates.
Very nice! I personally would add a UV stained image to the teeth. But right now your doing incredibly great on the model, so take it at your own pace. Happy Blending!
@bib_thebiulder:_ thank u.im also looking forward to nailing this guy.maybe a week from now i hope. @cire792:_ thank u so much.ive been doing 3d for 3 years now(and im still a newbie…gotta love 3d).my first love was Maya then Blender blew me away.my warmest thanks to the creator of blender and the guys who supports it. @nicktechyguy:_ i will difinitley do that.thank u.im not a a good texture artist.some guys just have the skills and others have to really work hard on that.so here i am doing my best(not good enough though).anyway, now m fired up.gotta finish this
