Tree generator, using animation in Unity

I created a tree using the blender add on tree generator. Everything is textured and has the default wind animation. The rendering and animation playback works great in blender.

When I import into Unity, the tree looks great and the animation imports, however the animation isn’t “assigned” so it cannot play and it doesn’t work. It won’t let me assign it. Any ideas on how to get that to work? Thanks

Two ideas for you, but first let me say I know nothing about game engines other than they are used for games.

First, try posting on a Unity forum. They might more helpful.

Second idea is to look at what is going on and try to find a solution to the problem. I’ve only played with the tree generator addon a few times, but I know the generated animation isn’t actually an animation. It’s actually a set of f-curve modifiers, there are no key frames in the animation. I’m thinking if it was an actual key frame animation that you’d work with in the dopesheet, then maybe it would work for you. You might be able to bake the animation, giving you an actual key frame animation that would work in unity… But that’s just a wild ass guess…
