Test render of damaged ship flying at treetop:
There is a lot of strange stuff going on though, which I cant seem to stop, the engine lights which are halos seem to dissappear behind an object which is off in the distance behind the halo, while the particle effects of the sparks seem to work fine. Also the flashing light at the bottom of the ship can be seen thru the mesh. If anyone has any ideas about what is causing this please let me know, thanks.
Turns out that the problems with the halos were because the models were made in an older version of blender, appending everything into a new file fixed them.
