I have seen many models made from other Software Packages that come full of triangles. Now does it offer an advantage? Vertex count would be the same, but faces would be as much as twice. Any interesting reason or advantage? Quads or Triangles?:eek:
Triangles create a true plain, for game engines and some other real time programs this can speed up rendering. But all rendering engines convert quads and n-gons to tris a some point before the rendering process. For a modeler it is best to try using quad as they make selecting edge and face loops easier.
