triangulate with equal size pattern

hey guys,

i have this little mesh with 3 faces


what i want is to triangulate the selected faces so i can vertex paint that after exporting to unreal engine .

is it possible to make the triangulation based on a pattern ?


what i want ideally, is to repeat this triangle over all the face surface .

any idea is welcome , thanks !

might be possible to use the Remesh modifier and sub surf to get all tris
but not certain if size would be the same all over !
