Totally! 5* Amazing Work! Great style.

Very nice !
A good decent length and it had some funny parts in it :), I personally like the crab the best ;).
5 stars :D.

I don’t know what to say about this…
other than,
5 stars.

I’ll come back and post something more interesting after I’ve pondered it for several hours.

Eh bien dis donc qu’est-ce que je suis heureux de le retrouver en si bonne forme ton marcheur!

trés bien
sry for my french, anyway it is very funny and original
cinq stars ^^

Amazing, colorful and charming (and what the others said).

How long did it take you guys to make this?

I enjoyed it, but the main character guy looked pretty poorly done to me.
His face just looked like it was made out of dough and various candy, then slapped together by a 5 yr old. And the ‘hair’ (I use that term loosely here), was grim. At first I thought it was just a jellyfish he picked up out of the ocean, but no. It was in fact his hair. Extremely harsh I know. But it kinda ruined it for me.

The rest of the characters and objects were fine, and I especially like the palm trees
The lighting and mood is excellent. Perhaps a tad too long as a music video, but still interesting enough. Your strong points are definitely lighting and rendering. The two things that I lack. So kudos for perfecting that!

My favourite scenes were:
-The part when he hit the tree and fell and then the crab came and hypnotized him.
-The hallucinogenic scene in the forest.
-The squid (?) breakdancing in the ocean

Would definitely like to see some more videos by you. Because you have good ideas. But just remember, if you’re making a main character make sure he looks good. Make some test drawings on paper, ask people which one they prefer, then render the best one. Ask people again what needs changing. Then finally, animate to your hearts content!

3 stars

Redbyte: i think you need to make certain allowances for animations, because the amount of work is correspondantly huger when rendering 10,000 frames rather than one.

It was awsome, there was some great camera movement.

5 stars.

Hello !

Thanks for all replies !

Happy you love it ZapperJet, Red Yoshi, otto riis (i like the crab too !), blenditall, jean (oui il est en bonne forme !), relledom (excellent your french, better than my english !).

Friday13: it take a long long time lol ! i can’t say exactly because we don’t work on it every time, but we have begin 3 years ago ! Any shot takes from 1 to 3 hours for rendering. I think if we worked on it every day, may be 1 or 2 months… Happy you love the colors !

redbyte: Thanks for your long comments ! It’s important to have critics to learn ! lol for jellyfish ! we used “modelling clay” to create characters, because we would like have simple style, sorry you don’t see it was hair ! Happy you like palm trees  Yes, lighting and rendering, it was what takes a lot of time ! We used ambiant occlusion and blender intern render. It was very long ! Yes, it is exactly a squid breakdancer in the ocean ! And yes, for the next character, we will ask for main character to make sure he looks good !

TheANIMAL: no problems ! I like to have critics !! It learns a lot !

Thanks again all for replies ! Happy you enjoyed it !

I understand this. A 10 minute animation takes a great deal of time to make. But as I said, my main gripe was the modeling of the main character. That would be done once, then used throughout the whole animation.

Also, not that I’m saying it’s the case with this film, but when it comes to 3d, you shouldn’t sacrifice quality for quantity

Ah yes, ambient occlusion. I thought it might have been. I really like the lighting on that giant moving statue thing in the desert. It seemed to reflect red from somewhere, it made it look very warm and stylized

Also I hope I didn’t come across as arrogant before, I do respect the amount of time and work you have put into it, you have achieved something that I won’t even start for several years. I bet you learnt a heap making it

Great use of DOF, camera movement and especially lighting. The lighting really gave it a a certain “quality”.

Did you use AO or arealights or just spots in your scenes?

Please post a higher resolution version for download. I would love to see a better quality video.
Nice job!

Wow. Was the sand real or with blender cause it looked awesome!

Truly beautiful!!

You should take the time to correct those few render glitches that the video has at certain points, it´s really worth the effort.
This video is so beautiful that it would be a pity to leave those few rendering errors.

Amazing, 5 stars!!

I enjoyed every second of it from beginning to end. The entire video was well synchronized with the music and it had a very nice flow to it. I really liked the sunrise scene in the beginning, the colors were well chosen.

5 Stars = )

I found this pretty boring actually. The music seems to stay in put and the scenes feel longwinded, there are couple of unnesessry segements, which seem to be only to add length, which starts to seem a bit too long just after first couple of moments. 10 minutes of same jarring tune is too much, you could have made two different videos out of this just by cutting it and replacing the tune to something else. After a minute I started to eye the watch and wonder when does this actually end.

But on the side, I do think it has some pretty scenes. The music is definetly the weakest part of all this, and so I really can’t give more than 3 stars.

I disagree with everything you just said.

that scared the bejeezus outta me too much to watch all of it! its demented!! (in a good way)!
