Tron returns hehehe

Well i kinda got tired of the hell scene so I decided to work on something a little lighter. TRON. This is a wip of the Light cycle (2002 model) tell me what you think

P.S. Does any one know how to animate an object to move in a 90 degree turn??

looks sweet so far!!! no crit yet.

i think the lines were white, no?

yea but green looks better

to animate in a 90 degree angle put your keyframes close together. during the turn.

hehe nice

I remember that movie was awsome when it came when I was
in my teens, YAY !! one of the first CG movies !!

but that cycle…looks like the old one, not as 2002 updated

turn down those vertices on the lightbike it doesnt look right. unless you want it that detailed  — in the movie wasnt it a lot less vertices?

doogs

in the IPO window…when shifting to another frame, select the particular
frame in edit mode and push V-key, it turns steap, like a bandsaw,
do so with all frames…maybe will work ?

Hey i got it to work thanks all. here is a quick mpg of the turn.

I know its not very clear but its just a wip. Do you think it turns too fast ??? or not fast enough. The wall behind the bike im still working on

Well now, I just recently purchased the remastered version of TRON and I have to dsay that that turn is pretty close. Maybe a little too sharp, but not much. Get the blue trail following it and it will look great.

here is another mpg its 1.3 meg (sorry) but its got the wall now. Its alittle different then the movie i know but i couldn’t figure out how to make a solid wall. any way here it is http://users.bentonrea.com/~mustang4l/tron2.mpg

hey

how did you apply the 90 degrees turns ?

I am curious

Well i tried a few different ways but the way you described above worked the best except i didn’t use the V key i just moved them in edit mode until they were 90degree turns. Thanks

awsome…great to help you out !!!

Very cool, but TRON’s walls were infinitely thin, besides being opaque,

I think you can try the build effect…

'bout the 90 degrees turn, wouldn’t it work if you parented it to a path and bent the path 90 degrees? of course, powertrack enabled(or whatever makes it turn according to the track curves).

anyway, haven’t seen TRON, wish i did though, looks all CG-ish…
