Trouble adding mesh

Well it’s me again, sorry :D. I hope this will be my last post for the moment.

I have created with 2.54 a scene with one mesh in it. If I try to add a second mesh, say a cylinder, it comes with size 0,0,0 and I can’t resize it ! I have tried to append a cylinder fom another file: same problem !

Adding a second mesh to the scene in the default file works fine. So the problem seems to be with my first mesh, but what could that be?

First mesh, dunno?

Now when adding new objects you need to have the toolbar open (press ‘T’) and you’ll find the old popup options there near the bottom…

The thing eventually worked when repeating it from the history list. Why? Beats me.
