Trouble Patching Blender 2.55 w/ Dynamic Paint 1.12 (Mac OS X)

Hey everyone,

I was curious if there was anyone who has experience patching Blender [33274] with the Dynamic Paint Patch. This evening I’ve been having trouble successfully patching the latest SVN with the latest Dynamic Paint patch. I get an error regarding and unsuccessful hunk with the voxeldata.c file and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this same problem.

Hunk #1 FAILED at 262.
Hunk #2 succeeded at 273 (offset 2 lines).
Hunk #3 succeeded at 285 with fuzz 2 (offset 2 lines).
Hunk #4 succeeded at 333 (offset 6 lines).
1 out of 4 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file source/blender/render/intern/source/voxeldata.c.rej

I patched a previous Blender source with Dynamic Paint and all went well.
The only idea I have is that the code may have been changed in the timeframe between the release of the patch and the revision of the Blender source code (only a guess though)…
Have you tried contacting Miika (DP developer)?

Yeah I figured it might be something like that. I’ll probably contact Miika when I get the time if things arn’t resolved but I figured I’d post here to see if anyone had any ideas before talking to him about it.

I downloaded the patch (v 1.12)
In the download page (and into the patch) you can read that the patched revision is n. 33047, so maybe n. 33274 is too recent (it may have a modified version of voxeldata.c)
I will come back to report any possible success patching.

No success at all (couldn’t even build the trunk source…) so didn’t patch it.

Apparently Miika has released a new version that fixes some compatibility issues with the current SVN. I’ll try patching a build with this latest patch when I get some time and see how it works.
