trouble seeing edges at certain angles in object mode

I’m making a robot hat and I added some bolts to it.

inside the black circle is a bolt. but i can only barely see some of the edges. this isn’t very good when i’m asking for advice on other forums, since they cant see the complete model.

is there a way to make edges pop out more, without having to bake the uvs?


Turn on Wire in the Object / Display panel to overlay the object wireframe
Give the bolt its own material
Adjust the scene lighting

If you go with the object wireframe, might be a good idea to enable all edges display for the object in the properties panel (N) under “display”. Without that, there’s some optimization at play that removes some of the wire lines.

Play around with glsl lighting your using default. Add color to object
