Trouble with rotation

I’m not sure what I did, but now I am unable to rotate objects unless I use the transform properties window. I loaded a different file and I can rotate just fine in that one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Forgot to mention I am using the 32 bit Windows 2.49b version. Thanks.

Hello Floyd.

Look at your transform properties window. Look beside the “Rot” value fields. See those padlock things? If any of them are clicked, unclick them. Now try to rotate in the 3D view again.

Hope this helps.

None of them locked. Besides, this is happening with all objects in the file.

Hit ESC a few times in case you’ve gone into something like a brush mode? No constraints on everything? How about deleting all objects and adding a couple of cubes (make the file small) and then post up the .blend for examination?

Can’t be because it’s in a mode, I’m able to save it. Since the basis file is fine I’m going to import the parrot into the basis to solve the issue. Thanks.
