Truck Crash Animation

Well I started thinking about doing a truck crash with blender. so i did. I modeled a simple truck trailer and made a couple of shape keys so I could control when it got busted. The youtube video of the animation is here:

The animation right now is pretty much just to show what I want to do. I am probably going to completely redo the animation to allow a more realistic crash (not a crash that would be like some crazy suicidal drunk guy driving the truck) and maybe have it slide or hit a smaller car.
Today I added the cab and the wheels (see attachments)
I know it isn’t that good, but thats why it is WIP. Also, does anyone know of a more realistic means of making the crash look better (other than shape keys)?
Comments and criticisms encouraged.

good start! you can look at crash pics to see, and it depends on how detailed. dents / crumples using a bump map come to mind, cracked glass using texture, tears in the sheet metal/mesh to show piping and pulleys and stuff. mist and smoke. parts flying off. Alot is in the animation too, and sound effects. Keep going! I hope the driver at least gave you a free case of coke.
