Try to get same result in Eevee with Cycles-made nodes

Hi guys,

A time ago I made a node-material in 2.79. It’s a material that displays lines like an height-map, see first image. Importing this nodes 1:1 into Blender 2.8 doesn’t work. I’ve added the Blend file at the bottom.

The Node-tree

Desired Result

There are 2 things that I don’t work

  • Transparency, the “black” of the material stays black
  • Lines are too small, when I make them bigger with the Noise-texture-size, lines get fuzzy

Result in 2.79 - Cycles

Result in 2.8 - Eevee

Result in 2.8 - Eevee - Changing the noise texture size. Lines are more visable, but are fuzzier

Does anybody got an idea how I can get the same cycles result in Eevee?

Adjust the material settings, see snapshot:

As for the displacement node, I don’t think that is supported in Eevee (yet?).

Are you trying to get some topological contour lines? If so, the top nodes should do the trick, I also added some noise to it for sake of z variation. Ignore it if you have something else in mind.
