Hello
First, let me say something first: sorry for the bad english but i am not native english speaker.
I just wanted to ask since im a noob using blender, how could i join these vertices/ edges to the larger face.
If theres some way to do it less janky than what i did, i’d love to learn how to do it! (I’m using the latest version of blender by the way)
Thanks
to start, the edge loop right next to where it intersects the big face should match the curve of the part it is intersecting. use edge slide ( g g ) to do that. Then you reconstruct the big face to accommodate the extra geometry.
The big face should have the same number of edges, so they can be joined.
If you don’t want all those edges to spread all over the model, you could use edge reduction techniques to reduce their number where they are no longer useful.
Also, those big Ngons beneath the circled area are going to cause major shading problems, and should be reconstructed.
You can cut and connect using a knife tool.
But it seems that the modeling was done without considering the topology. That’s not the only problem.
It would be a good idea to complete the current modeling and make it a Retology.
Automobiles are modeled by separating parts made of individual parts and parts that are not.
It would be better to refer to the photo materials as well.
Thank you so much for the answers.
It really helps me see these ways to confront my problem here
I’ll try to apply them at my best!
