Okay I am trying to make a arc of lightning stretch from one part of my object, to the opposite end, I would like some help with this.
You could parent it to a bone, or I imagine you could make it follow a curve/path if you want a less perfect arc. http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:Manual/Animation/Techs/Object/Path
