trying to model my guitar.

hello.
i have a real life model of a guitar, lol
im gonna try and model it in blender  .

what is the best mesh to use for modeling the base of the guitar?

My advice would be to model the guitar in parts.

there are different ways to start a model, but I like to start from a plane or a single vertex. First get the basic shape of the body outlined and then extrude it to the height you want.

right i done that  , i not done the head of the guitar right , its needs more modeling but i will do that later.

what do you think of this?

what can i do to make it better to it? maybe some tips or somthink.

thanks

Just a thought, won’t curves be a better option?

i dont no how to use curves , im just a newbe, lol?

Hey, I was doing a guitar not too long ago, it was in a WIP section, never got out of it :stuck_out_tongue: Here’s a link: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=90738
I used curves to model the base of the guitar, but as you’re probably going to be able to tell, it’s a bit off. The problem with using curves for such purposes is that it creates a large amount of triangles. Of course, I was still kinda noobish then, and I might have been doing the wrong thing. Good Luck

I’m also a newbie. :o

nice guitar, good work

do you know of a Tutorial on curve modeling?

thanks
