trying to recover important files from vista with unbuntu

Hi there
I have a biiiig problem
After I started my Pc today (a toshiba Sattelite with Vista :mad: ), I got a bluescreen.
After trying to start via Starthelp (Starthilfe in german) , Vista told me, to do a System Recovery.
The problem is, my last recovery disk was made, after i bought my laptop and the newes files, i made yesterday, are very important for me (circiut layouts for a school project,etc.)

The only good thing is, that i have a unbuntu CD, which i am using now (under demo mode) I tried to mount the vista HD, but…---- unable to mount( unclean shuietdown)----
trying to force mounting also fails with the commands from the detail window.

So my question is:
Is it possible to open my Vista HD with unbuntu???

I hope somebody can help me :slight_smile:
