hey guys. don’t post often here… I havn’t done much for the past few months, so finally i sat down and did some modelling. I must say, my modelling skills were not up to par after months of inactivity, but anyhow, here is my latest work. and my first attempt at a “real” looking head.
note: the head is modeled in half, and mirrored, thus the black line on his neck and the strange point on his chin. also, his eyes are not done, so i stuck glasses on. lol. a quickie.
The face is far too toonish looking to be realistic. In example the cheekbones are far too visible and jaw line looks more like a charicatyre than real wide jaw. And then there is the eye holes, which make him look like he’s been starving for weeks.
Don’t take this in the wrong way, for a first realistic attemp this is light years better than my first feeble tries. Very good indeed.

But i think it looks like An Agent from the Matrix…
Thanks for the comments guys. Hippie: don’t worry. If all i wanted was encouragement, i would go to a clinic for the insecure or something.
anyway, i tried to fix the cheekbones, re-did the eyes, made the eyesockets shallower, played with the jaw (still needs work though) and a few other minor tweaks.
oh yes. that ugly eye texture is just something i threw on for visualization. later, i will do the “real” eyebal thing with the modeled lens and all that crap.
hey another update. a few tweaks here, not happy with the eyes… but i got a little bored of the lighting in my testrenders, so i threw in some different lamps. i think he looks better in this light.
