Trying to test out a newly installed Python. Please help.

I am testing out Python for MAc OSX. I keep getting errors. But no console report is given in my console. I installed python 2.2.3 . So all should be well.

I know that there is some simple print script that tells me where Python is installed . CAn you please provide me with that little script so I may trouble shoot my system
