Trying to us Yafaray

I am using Blender 2.55 and want to start rendering using Yafaray. I installed the latest version of Yafaray, updated Python to 2.7, and confirmed that yafaray_ui.py is present in the scripts folder along with all of the other python-based add-on scripts, yet I cannot get Blender to show any options for using Yafaray. Nothing shows up in the Render menu list, nor can I enable Yafaray as an add-on – even when I try to add it manually.

Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Any help is appreciated!

I’m having the same issue (I think). It says it’s “VERY ALPHA!!!” and there’s a warning mark next to it on the add-ons list, and nothing happens when I try to enable it. My only advice is to open your blender scene in 2.49 and render it from there.

Thanks for the response.

At least Yafaray shows up in your add-on list. It doesn’t even show up in my list, even after I try to add it manually.

check this out it woks OK
