Tuhopuu 2.25! YAY!!

Hi all…

I stayed up all night and most of yesterday to bring you this: Tuhopuu 2.25!!

Note: It may not include all required filles, just stick it in the Blender Publisher 2.25 directory and let it piggyback of the dll’s there

Note2: I used the instructions for the regular binary at http://projects.blender.org/viewcvs/viewcvs.cgi/blender/free_windows-env.sh?cvsroot=tuhopuu

Note3: …nope. Thats it. Enjoy!! And post comments!!

hey!

I downloaded it and put into the 2.27 folder,
made a 50 frame long AVI with a short text spinning around 360 degrees with a Halo spot from behind, and the material as Toon shading, and the AVI JPEG compression was at 70%, the issue is, why did the AVI file end up at almost 12 MB big ?

is it a bug, did you left out something in the code?

in either case, a earlier renderd version of that animation was like this: AVI: 351 kb QT mov: 185 kb,
and how could this be 11,7 MB ?

I used the full code… It might be the codec? I’m not a programmer, I didn’t change anything… I just did it so you didn’t have to download the whole CVS and Cygwin as well.

well I have

I did some successfull compile in Windows a week back

why is it Tuhopuu 2.25???

isn’t 2.25 the old NaN blender release???

why would we want that, as we already have 2.25 (publisher)

or am i missing somthing, are the tuhopuu number systems different from the actuall blender release numbers???

k thats my bit.

Alltaken

There aren’t really any tuhopuu version numbers (just the date, I guess) so it’s still using the version number from the original NaN code…

Well… It’s Tuhopuu, compiled on the 17th, from the current source, and the number in the ‘File…’ bar is 2.25.

Great news!

Is there some complete list of features being improved and not featured in clasic Blender yet?

Thanx

Thank you ztonzy :stuck_out_tongue:

if you are happy, I am :Z

Note:

I have been doing regular compiles of tuhopuu for windows, as announced on the blender.org
forum.

But the latest versions (and in the latest version on the page too) (my latest compile is from 18/05/20003) seem to have a bug in writing blend files with tuhopuu… the files come corrupt from time to time due to advanced materials.

So I won’t update the page until I keep getting corrupt files… Or I might be I don’t encourage you to start projects with tuhopuu… the corrupt files are hard to retreive… no way of importing… all methods end up with a blender crash. You need to dive deep into the file with some hex editor and get them to a vrml file…

Dani

Thanks Dani. I’ll keep that in mind.
