Tuhopuu?

Hey, sorry for the great ignorance but may anybody explain what exactly this ‘tuhopuu’ does? As far as I know it is an experimental and non-official version of Blender which has implemented in its standard gui exporters for other renderers (Bmrt, Yafray etc.). Is it really so? Can you export from within it directly an xml file for Yafray, for example, without having to use Yablex? And if it is so where from somebody can download the most stable version of it (I tried many times to find it but in vain)?

Thanks for any help.

Tuhopuu is an experimental version of Blender.

There is integrated export for BMRT/Renderman compliant renderers, but not for YAFray, (yet  ). It is coming though.

Hi

I think this version could render with yafray… (if you have yafray already installed and you choose by render yafray…)
http://dani2.chez.tiscali.fr/
http://dani2.chez.tiscali.fr//Blender-Tuhopuu-16-07-2003.zip
(it is for win32…)

it APPEARS to be able to render with yafray. it even has a neat little menu with all of the renders that it does (will) support, but when I try to render with Yafray I get a mysterious “ERROR: Connot create directory!”

Every time…wierd

Still, I think that this is the sort of thing that Blender could use tho I suppose, altho i imagine all those hardcore “YafRay BAD!” people would be angry

You should choose a valid directory on your hard drive… there where the default setting //render is… (change it exampel to c:\yafray (by render it create two extra directory; meshes and a rendered directory (after render it contains the image file still.tga)))
anyway here is a very basic exampel file (not a regular raytracer render(created with render 30sec)).
