How does the wireframe look like?
The wire around the mouth isn’t good enough for smaller animation. It needs a couple of more edge-loop circles around the mouth but for ten bucks it’s good enough.
hey , i have made this head a very long time ago , i believe that if i would create a new one it would be 3 times better , …
thanks bigbad …
heh, yea I saw that one head you made for a game project you were working on and the flow was perfect on it
as for the price…I have no idea
Pricing is tough…
You can base your pricing off an hourly rate that you want to earn and how long this took to build…
But you can sell this many times over so that’s not a good strategy,
You can base your price on “what people are willing to pay” but that measn you need to know your audience.
Who would buy this model and why? (this is a hypothetical question, not a critique of your work)
If you know this answer it’s much easier to guage your price…
You’ll notice that the most popular models on sites like turbosquid are accurate representations of real vehicles and accurate representations of stylish furniture…
Given that the market for 3d manga/anime models is much smaller than for vehicles and furniture your price would be OK… but may still put off some. People buy models to save themselves the time of making it themselves, NOT because they can’t make it themselves…
You might even look at something lower to put it firmly in the “impulse buy” market. I don’t know if your price of $9.99 already covers that, but $2-5 dollars is definitely in that market.
Sites like Turbosquid can take as much as 50% of that money as commision. (a license to print money in my view) so if you’re in that “impulse buy” area you need to nail it to make cash.
My view is that Turbosquid is fine to get “some” money and exposure, but you either need to really look at what sells there and target making models that can deliver that or just treat it as a place to put your content without any expectation.
If it sells consider it a bonus, if it doesn’t you’ve not really lost anything!
a friend of mine says that :-
(people concentrate on furniture , vehicles , and game characters)
thanks , but i was thinking of making a manga tutorials video series …
[video tuts of creating a manga head] , with a very low price , something like 6 dollars , 3 dollars for each hour of lecturing , or something like that …
also , do you think putting this guy for free would give pupolarity ?
i know i have to remove the logo …
this model is very old , a year old , …
after exams , i will be working on various low-poly characters , …
i have some few characters lately , but i don’t want to reveal them now
i will try to reach this quality at least …
or even this ?
or this ???
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/c/c6/Ashe.jpg
and the list is long …
i think a game character would sell …
You have to figure topology and texturing into the price. Also, you may want to price it high enough so you get some money, but low enough so it sells.
The professionals who browse Turbosquid are topology, texturing, and UVmap hounds, they want proof you have those things down well before they buy.

that’s confusing … , the art would be making a price in-between …
