Unfortunately it seems none of the tools mentioned here is available for osx.
you can get archeos for free and run it from you dvd drive. just mount your hdd and copy the models onto it in a format you can use on osx.

I guess this is no answer to my post right? Even if Autodesk 123D seems to be a good solution, it’s not available for osx
Archeos seems to be a good solution. I downloaded it, but it seems it’s a bit more than a tiny app, if I understand everything the right way, you have to boot from Archeos. A bit too much system-stuff for the need of turning a photo in a mesh, even if it seems to be really good for its purpose.
Super 6 hexagonal is a very popular 3d modeling software in Japan, and has a module [human generator] that create models from photos for now is only in Japanese.
