Tutorial: Hand Modeling Workshop

Hand Modeling Workshop by Carl van Heezik

Thats great, really cool. Nice 1

thanks fo r the link…

quick question, how would you model a “wrinkle” in the skin?

lilo

I did some research on your questions as I cannot answer from experience. I have yet to model a human, character, etc.

Many people say the best way to create a skin wrinkle is to use texture maps.

Leigh van der Byl’s Human Skin WIPs and Tips thread on CG Talk has great info on the subject.

If you decide to model the wrinkles, check out this Topology Research thread, also on CG Talk.

Good luck.

thanks ec2

No problem. Make sure you read Digital Sculpture Techniques - How to Apply the Principles of Traditional Sculpture to Make Stunning 3D Characters by Bay Raitt and Greg Minter.

It teaches modeling for subdivision surfaces.
