well done tut. I would have liked to see you do it from some reference drawings though. Have you ever tried this technique on something organic?

Reference drawings sound like an interesting idea. I might give that a try. I’m not sure how well it will work for organic shapes – you’ll probably end up with a lot of right angles that you’ll have to smooth out. I haven’t tried it, though.

i used this technique a while back to speed model an xbox using reference drawings.

because of the messy topology the practicality is really questionable, the more complex the model the more cleanup has to be done, up to the point where you spend more time to clean up the mess than you would modeling properly.
