Tutorials for Game Modeling

I’m trying to make models that I can export to Ogre 3D, so they have to be textured and animated in a specific way. The texturing has to be UV wrapping, and the animating has to be done with bone weights. My problem is that all the tutorials I can find are either for different methods, or don’t seem to work anymore (older versions of Blender), or they’re just not good tutorials.
I used to have no problem doing weight painting for bones, but now using 2.48 I can’t seem to get it to work. Can anyone please provide some good tutorials for animation, weight painting for bones, and UV wrapping please?? I don’t need to make anything fancy, just something that works.

Just make the mesh, make the bones, apply an armature modifier to the mesh, select the bones and put them in pose mode, select the mesh and put it in weight-paint mode, select one bone and paint the area you want it to effect, move on to the next bone until you are done, and there you have it. :spin:

Just ask a specific question. I did some Ogre exporting at work from 3ds max(scenes, airplanes, vehicles…) . You should use lexi viewer to previz your models and animations. Also, take a look at the BGE, it has lots of advantages lol.

Try looking here but don’t hold your breath if it does not work.
