Been horribly busy lately (finishing university, organising a gallery exhibition, updating my website, work stuff, argh!) and have only just begun to re-appear back into the real world again I’ve got a bunch of new stuff to show though over the next week or 2.
Here’s a job I just finished, designing Christmas cards for Odyssey Channel, a cable TV documentary channel in Australia. On the front of the card is this illustration of a TV set being unwrapped, which I made in Blender and rendered in yafray. I’ll be going to the print bureau tomorrow morning to check proofs - there will be a few hundred, offset printed on 300gsm gloss card. I’ll update this post with a photo of the final product when I get it back, if you like
Thats really good, i like the wrapping paper. But why does a television company need Christmas cards? Are they for internal use, for employees. Or are they to be sent to other TV Channels .
Sweeeeeet!!! When I grow up (in Blender) I want to be like you. One question though, with this being for a cable channel, do you think that they might be offset by the rabbit ears (antenna)?
L13 - Yeah, it’s basically for promotional use, sending to other companies they deal with, other channels, reviewers and people in the media, etc.
whifty1: Heh, artistic license An old-school TV looked much nicer and more more recognisable on the card than one of those brand new boring modern silver or black boxes that are sold these days.

I see your point, I guess the new ones are kind of drab. Keep blending, I still really like the image. I look forward to seeing more of your new works.
