When creating a New Save File or Saving As, you still have to move your cursor and click on the Name Field in order to type. I’ve tried Beta 2.81 with its new Save Dialog/File Browser and it’s still the same although I like how you can use commands like ALT+LARROW and the like to navigate. Is anyone bothered by this?

I hope that @JulianSeverin saw it.
Name Field is probably not active because Filebrowser is also used to load files.
I don’t know if there is something that prevents name field to be active in one case and inactive in the other one.
But at least, a shortcut to jump to rename field would be welcomed.

Thank you for the response. Browsing through the 2.81 dev thread I saw requests like typing to spell out filenames to quickly browse for files. It would be fine if pressing TAB works for cycling through sections of the File Browser, like how Windows Explorer works. Tried this in 2.81 but it only activates the Edit Mode in the 3D View.
