Sure.

If you go to http://www.enricovalenza.com you can also see his animation.

man that is good…im still fairly new at blender so i dont hope to create anything that good…id like to add the swaying flesh on the neck effect because itd add alot of realism but not sure if the only way i could think of doing it(locking the mesh to a bone and moving them for each frame) would look very good or not

I think he added about two bones to the skin flap and then animated them flapping as it walked.

excuse the caps

I FARKING HATE TRYING TO UV MAP THIS BASTARD!!:spin::spin:

ok im done…

start of texturing

The texture is definitely better than mine. But it looks like a low res texture. What program did you make it in?

Gimp, which im not very good at so :-p ill probably go back nad replace most of it…i just wanted to be quick with this one so i could see how the textures would lay on my UV map

How are you planning on doing the scales? I used mosaic at the smallest size but the effect isn’t very good. Your Rex is better than one I saw on Turbosquid for $595.

i looked at the turbo squid rex…i think mine is better only because i plan to include textures and animate it…but as far as the model itself i think his is about 10% better…if i add more detail to the model especially around the neck

the red eye and nostril will be replaced…like i said ill probably replace the entire original texturing…i have learned alot from trying to texture it this way about how to UV map it better…but adding a bump map helped quite a bit

oh and kirk…despite looking very reptile like…most dinosaurs didnt have scales…they had scutes…and i plan to eventually clean this fossilised(well the mold was a fossil…this is the cast of the mirror…of the original skin…lol) dinoskin up and use it as a bump map for the skin

I think the bumping should be increased, right now it looks too smooth. The carnotarus had small spikes along its back, the T. Rex might have been the same.

yeah im going to add some spikes, and that bumping was just for demonstration moe than anything, the real bump map will be scutes

Oh, I forgot to tell you, that link:

doesn’t work.

hopefully that should work better…

again the bump mapping is temporary…back buff is just for reference on the kind of habitat i envision this guy to be living in

I wanted to use that as a dinosaur background too. If you want to animate it on a background, you must remember that they were 5 meters high.

need to clean p the texture seem on the neck and the texture itself around the bottom scales but is proving more difficult to make this texture than i orriginally thought lol

I saw the problem with the seams. It looks like the inside of the mouth is moldy, is that deliberate or haven’t you finished painting the mouth?

no its a flesh texture and i shouldve mentioned that too…ill go back in and make the textures smaller so that it looks more like flesh…the tounge is actually cavior(fish eggs) lol

http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/250/t23sj7.th.jpg

finished the head texture, didnt get time to fix the neck seem…but i did decide it was time to give him that classic grin

not sure why but his eye wont render with colors now lol

http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/9175/t25hn5.th.jpg

the neck seem is mainly a bump map issue, not a color map, the bump map is just a temp to give some texture, a real bump map will come next, and then a specularity map to give the tounge and mouth a wetter look to them
