Tyre tracks, monster truck

Can anyone help with ideas to implement tyre track (skid mark) texture blatting for a monster truck sim. The tyres are huge and often off the ground. I need to track contact with the ground, wheelspin and slide for each wheel then place a track texture at the appropriate position and angle on the ground plane (also spraying dirt and dust once I’ve got the basics worked out). If anyone knows of any resources, discussions or tutorials that could help me I’d be very grateful.
