and we’re super eager to see it in action and put our hands on it.

Is it plan a system to create the bilbborad for the leaves groups?
And a billboarding system in general for the whole tree?

Apologies for the late reply! Billboarding is a very manual process, and since UberTree is just a collection of geometry node groups, there’s not much that can be done. However, it is entirely possible to isolate several branches, make them into atlases manually, and instance them on the rest of the tree using UberTree!

I find that art tools like this are very difficult to develop. Not only must I look at basic functionality and ease-of-use, but also the kind of results it can produce. Before, no matter how much I tried, I could seem to get decent looking branching structures. I was wondering if I was going insane. Then I realized that the noise (random bending in the branch) was extremely hard to control and that was interfering, so I reworked it. Simply by adding length preservation, I made it so much easier to get good results!
